Texas Wildflower

The Johnny Jump Up’s scientific name is Viola Cornuta. Its blooming season is March through August. It can get to be seven to ten inches. The flower needs sun and water to bloom. It grows all over Texas. The flower needs well, drained soil. the color of the flower is deep purple and yellow. This variety has been used extensively in floral gardens and in fields and wasted areas throughout much of the United States. Its scientific classification is violaceae.
